Movie Nights

February Girls Night Announcement!

Hi everyone!

Our next movie night will be on Saturday February 27th @ 8PM est!  Our poll is below, and you can choose multiple, if you dare. We’ve got Romance drama if you’re in the moody for something sappy or Romantic comedies if you need a good laugh! Hurry up and get those votes in because we’d like to announce the winner on 2/20/15 Noon EST!=) This poll isn’t lasting long!

Also, a quick reminder that you can sign up for e-mail notifications for our current movie nights and any future movie nights we may have by filling out this Google Form: Girls Night Google Doc! We will also be able to send you updates, posts, and polls that have to do with our future movie nights as well!

We honestly want you guys to join us for movie nights because what fun is a movie night with chocolate, fatty foods, and a tissue box if you have no one to share it with?

We love movie nights here and the best thing about this is that Lauren, Melissa, and I became friends through Twitter/Secret Sister. We live NO WHERE close to each other. While I live in Pennsylvania, Lauren lives in Mississippi, and Melissa lives in Massachusetts. Let’s just say that it’s not a skip down the lane to spend time together watching movies. That’s why we’re starting this night. We want to give you all the ability to make new friends, talk with each other, and spend a night with your best girls without having to feel alone while doing so.

I’ve spent many a night watching movies by myself, alone at 3am, balling my eyes out for personal reasons and because the movie was just SO GOOD AND THEY WERE SO IN LOVE AND blah blah blahhhhh. I know I’m not the only one who doesn’t want to spend their movie nights alone. So… why not join us?

The deal is that we will announce a certain date, time, and movie in enough advance time to let you all get your copies of the movie, download it illegally (we won’t tell anyone), netflix it, redbox it, whatever you need to do. Once the time comes, we can all hop on twitter and use the hashtag #LLRGirlsNight to communicate with each other, fangirl over whomever, talk about the movie, and just have discussions while the movie is going and after! You can ask questions, talk to people, discuss the movie afterwards, use GIFs to describe your feels, whatever you want to do. This is to get all of us involved, talking, making friends, and not feeling like we are all so far from each other.

Honestly, I miss movie nights with my old best friends who used to come over, eat popcorn, stuff our faces with Ben & Jerry’s, and just talk and cry together. This is one of the ways I’ve managed to feel closer with phenomenal women like Lauren, Becca, Emily, Chelsea, and so many others. It’s for anyone and everyone to join, so please feel free to jump in at any time.

Post movies you would love to have us watch in the comments and we will work hard to try and get it into our list!
