My name is Kelly.

I live in Philadelphia, PA.

I’m 24 years old.

I have a B.S.Ed. in English 7-12 from West Chester University.

I’m an English teacher at a local high school and use sarcasm on a daily basis. I’m still searching for a more secure job, because the one I have isn’t full time, salaried, or benefitted. Teaching is definitely an experience, though! I love my students; They never fail at keeping life interesting!

After teaching, I realized that maybe it wasn’t for me. I applied to two internships at two separate literary agencies and was lucky enough to be scooped up by Corvisiero Literary Agency! I’m now a Literary Agent Intern under Samantha Bremekamp, and am being trained by all of the wonderful ladies there. I feel like I’ve finally found my calling in life and I’ve never been happier!

I’m also a beta reader and provide critique for many different kinds of writing! My specialty is obviously YA Fantasy and YA Dystopian. I currently can’t take on any large projects at this time, but would be happy to look over a chapter, prologue, synopsis, or any other small projects for you if you ask it of me.

I’m a dance teacher at night, which is a wonderful artistic outlet. I’ve been dancing since I was three, received a Minor in Dance while attending WCU. Teaching dance is a highlight of my life. I couldn’t imagine giving it up. I have the same wonderful girls year after year and get the pleasure of seeing them grow mentally, physically, and emotionally. I eventually see them off when they graduate and try not to cry every year.

I’ve recently decided that I want to pursue becoming a writer, whether as a hobby or as a career. My favorite novels are YA fantasy fiction and I intend to write a YA fantasy novel! I’m ridiculously excited about it and will be starting to actually type it this summer, after I’ve spent the last few months planning everything out! I’d appreciate any advice, tips, stories, etc. that you are willing to provide me on this blog or on writing in general. I am always willing to learn!

Over the last two years since I’ve graduated from college, I’ve had some major changes in my life socially, economically, emotionally, and mentally. It all literally flipped my world around. I was struggling to get by, feeling completely alone. After copious hours of reading books and watching movies to escape reality, I was able to strengthen myself enough to stand on my own two feet again. I refused to go back to where I had been and kept pushing forward. I will proudly tell you that I came out of my slump on top, happier than ever. I know how to make myself happy and how to make others happy. I’m great with advice, so please feel free to ask me anything you’d like on my “Questions and Advice” page. I’ll gladly talk to you about everything.

Other than that, my hobbies include riding horses (when I can), physical therapy for my many pains, line dancing, Yoga and Pilates, drooling over shoes, dog watching and animal rescuing, dancing, reading every YA fantasy book I can get my hands on, and now writing!

Some random facts about me: I’m a RAVENCLAW! I’m obsessed with the Throne of Glass series by Sarah J. Maas and I LOVE Rowan to the end of the world, but I know that Rowaelin will never happen. *sobs*. I’m also madly in love with Trial by Fire by Josephine Angelini (if you haven’t read it, you really should) for many reasons, including the fact that it has Rowan in it! I watch Game of Thrones every week and hug my pillow during the entire thing. I also watch Nashville, too!

My name is Lauren.

I live in Mississippi.

I’m 24 years old.

I have 3 ASS degrees in Business Technology, Business Accounting, and Medical Data. Currently trying to get into a RN Nursing program.

By morning I’m a normal college student, but when class ends I’m just another fangirl. As a country girl, I love being outdoors! Staying inside is fun, but being outside, especially with a good book, is lovely. I’m usually very talkative if you get to know me, but can be quiet if I’m around people I don’t know. I will warn you, I am pretty random at times.

I love reading and talking about books! YA is my go to reading, but I do venture into the scary world of Adult books and, although I am older than 12… you can still find me reading MG books. Fantasy is my favorite genre, but I will read anything, except erotica. (No Fifty Shades for me!) My love of discussing books is what led me to blogging and I love the people I have met through this community! Y’all are the best!

Other than reading I do have a few hobbies. If I don’t have a book in my hand I am probably drawing. I may not be the world’s greatest artist, but I love doing sketches with pencils. I’m always listening to music and if I get a chance I love doing photography. Does fangirling count as a hobby? Because I am ALWAYS doing that!

The past few years of my life I have had a few trials due to sickness, but I am one that believes what doesn’t kill you, truly makes you stronger. I may not have a perfect life, but I know I have it better than most. I am still struggling with health problems, and each day can be hard but I have a positive attitude and my faith keeps me strong! I thank God for the strength he has given me. I am always willing to help anyone going through a hard time, so feel free to talk with me if you need to.

Recently I have decided to pursue the idea of writing a book. I have always wanted to create my own story, but never really attempted to. Now I have a story I feel I want to share, so I am in the process of creating it and putting it down on paper! Any advice is welcomed, and I can’t wait to experience the writing life!

Last little bit you need to know about me: I am a Gryffindor. I have an obsession with Harry Potter, Percy Jackson, Doctor Who, Sherlock, Disney, Pixar, Supernatural, and currently getting into the world of Game of Thrones.

My name is Melissa.

I live in Boston, MA.

I have a B.A. in Communications from Quinnipiac University.

I previously worked with elementary students during the day. It’s satisfying to watch them grow mentally, physically, and emotionally throughout the year. At night I’m usually holed up in my room reading, watching Anime, or attempting to craft something. I’m usually a shy/ quiet person, but once I warm up and get to know you I’m pretty outgoing.

My favorite genre has always been fantasy growing up. More specifically YA/Middle Grade since I’ve discovered it was a section in the bookstore when I worked at Borders. I didn’t start attending book events until recently when a friend told me to check out Divergent and Veronica Roth was going to be in the area. That sparked my love for attending events to meet authors and new friends.

The book/ blogging community has been overwhelmingly accepting, kind, and generous ever since. I’ve met wonderful people through social media and at BEA and have been fortunate enough a second time finding my fellow co-bloggers. I’ve also been able to branch out in YA reading sci-fi, contemporary, paranormal, and historical fiction. I love discussing books with everyone.

When my nose isn’t buried in a book, I love to cook and bake. I am a huge geek. no shame in gaming, attending cons, and cosplaying. Even though it may not seem like it, I love being outside especially in the summer time. Any chance I can get, I love spending time with my niece who is almost two years old. Watching her grow up has been a blessing.

Unlike Kelly and Lauren, I’m lacking in the creative writing department. However I am the one currently designing the graphics for Live Love Read. Also I designed graphics for Novelty Podcast among a few others for a select couple of people. Hopefully I can share these designs with you on the site soon.

A few little last tidbits about me: I am proud to be a GRYFFINDOR! Though sometimes I consider myself to be a Gryffinclaw. Favorite author has to be Rick Riordan, I’m obsessed with Percy Jackson! I fangirl over all things Sailor Moon, Doctor Who, Disney, Pixar, Studio Ghibli and Marvel. Love The Vampire Diaries, The Originals, The Flash, Arrow, Castle, and Once Upon a Time.
